MIS-AMS is delighted to welcome on board eight new team members. The new hires form part of the company’s wider programme of investments, designed to ensure that its service capabilities continue to meet the needs of its ever-expanding customer base.

In addition to launching a newly enhanced services portal, customer knowledge base and quotes system, MIS-AMS has introduced a range of new skills into the company with this latest round of recruitment.

Whilst some of the company’s newest recruits have joined existing teams to enhance their capacity and knowledge, others have established new business functions within MIS-AMS.

Christina joins as the company’s first in-house business analyst. She brings over ten years' of experience in agile business analysis and several years in systems analysis within the scrum framework, working within cross-functional scrum teams of mobile development, web development, CMS, chatbots and in-house bespoke systems to name a few. With her highly specialised skillset, Christina has worked as a business analyst across industries such as finance, investment, insurance, telecoms and healthcare technology. Her expertise is set to add further value across the suite of ActiveH products and associated services. She will be focusing on ensuring that the delivery of ActiveH solutions is clearly defined throughout the implementation cycle and to support the services that the company offers.

Following the formalisation of project management into a dedicated business function in 2019 to support the company’s growth, the team has grown again as we welcome new project managers Lynne, Stephen and James.

Using a PRINCE2 based project management framework and ensuring effective collaboration across customer project teams and the MIS-AMS implementation team, the project management team works to ensure implementations are completed on time, to budget and to quality standards. With the growth of the project management team, MIS-AMS has adopted a range of new capabilities along with the additional capacity to continue providing the exceptional level of experience customers have come to expect.

James, a PRINCE2 practitioner with over 18 years’ experience in project management, test management and business analysis gained within organisations such as MBNA, Bank of America, Sony Ericsson and Co-op Financial Services, said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge at MIS-AMS, in what is a growing project team. I bring my knowledge of different project methodologies and testing practices with me to plan and structure our way of working effectively, whilst constantly communicating and working in parallel with our customers to successfully deliver a quality product at speed and on time”.

Developer Joanne joins the well-established development team alongside SSRS Developer Phil. Moving from his previous role within the data engineering team at Auto Trader plc, Phil specialises in developing BI reports and is now tasked with re-writing MIS-AMS’ Crystal Reports in ActiveH, as well as creating new SSRS reports when needed. Joanne joins from The Emerson Group Ltd and will utilise her well-honed skills on the development of the customer portal and portal manager.

Sam and Nick both join as QA (quality assurance) analysts in the QA team, which is responsible for testing ActiveH products before release.

Sam, who previously worked as a QA test lead at airline tech start-up Air Black Box, said: “I have already been made to feel very welcome and am looking forwards to working on this well-established system, using my expertise to assist MIS-AMS with its continued growth.”

Bringing with him twenty years’ of experience, Nick joins from a specialised data classification software company, where he worked within a similar QA role. When asked about what attracted him to his new role he said: “The job specification looked interesting and I was looking for a new challenge. Having never worked in the housing sector before, this role certainly ticks that box.

“MIS-AMS were looking to build upon knowledge within the QA team, and with over two decades’ experience under my belt, I knew I could support that growth in team expertise.”

Managing Director Chris McLaughlin said: “We are delighted to welcome all of our new team members into the MIS-AMS family. The addition of a business analysis function and the development of the project management team signals a marked moment for the growth of the company and is testament to our continued commitment to deliver value to customers through excellence in software and service standards”.
