A little about us

MIS have been developing housing systems exclusively in the UK for over twenty years.

The latest ActiveH range of solutions brings a modern, up to date approach to exceed your current housing needs and provide a significant springboard for the future. We have never believed in adding a 'wrapper' to our old products to extend shelf life, or adapting outdated designs with workarounds. All along we have believed that our customers and their communities deserved better. The whole suite, radically engineered for SQL Server 2008 and delivered in a unique agile manner, that only a committed company of our size can really deliver should be your tenants best asset. Development uses and delivers Microsoft core functionality using Microsoft core development tools. This ensures that unlike inferior offerings on the SQL Server Platform that provide a product quickly at the expense of speed of use, we have created the best of all worlds. You will struggle not to find our products and approach a refreshing change.

One of our benefits is that we do not have the stock market, British or overseas shareholders to satisfy and this keeps our focus, tightly on satisfying our customers. Our emphasis is on continual improvement and innovation and this is reflected in the unusually high percentage of staff we have involved in development. Two major releases a year, included in our service agreement ensures that we keep pace with change. In fact we are constantly looking for change, through genuine commitment to user and product groups and our own interest in the housing community. It has been often said of us that the ActiveH range of products are "housing's best kept secret". This reflects the low emphasis we put on sales and the royalty and satisfaction that we experience from our dozens of social housing clients.

Integration

"Once you have had it, you know you cannot really function without it", is a comment often heard when speaking about the level of integration within our solutions. Each product is crafted to link from the ground up, providing the benefit that no information ever needs to be entered more than once. From an IT standpoint this makes for a well normalised data structure, offering benefits when reporting and linking with external products.

There is no doubt that external links and interfaces can soak up so much time and effort, adding additional vulnerability and cost where often they are not necessary. Separate ActiveH modules are all designed to exceed the flexibility of accepted best of breed applications, but with the added benefit that they are instantly familiar and easy for users to learn and use.

In the current climate of mergers and groupings, ActiveH can sit well within a group structure of disparate housing systems. However it is designed to quickly allow assimilation of take-on stock enabling a group to standardise on an up-to-the-minute solution to run as an efficient business rather than to waste resources trying to mask some older systems failings in the area of contact management by the introduction of a data meta-layer.
