Housing Plus achieve STP for CBL applicants (25/05/2009)

South Staffordshire Housing Association (SSHA), a member of Housing Plus have implemented straight through processing (STP) for all its letting applicants, using innovative technology from MIS Active Management Systems. The recently launched ‘My Homefinder’ website advertises the association’s vacant properties. It then allows prospective and existing tenants to register, view and bid for properties that are currently available, using a system that operates with little back end office intervention.
The project was completed during the summer within timescale and budget. Several hundred applicants have already taken advantage of the service which allows them to make informed decisions regarding their housing needs. SSHA manage over 5,000 properties and this system forms part of their dynamic development programme for managing choice based lettings.
Transferring details directly from the My Homefinder portal to the Housing Plus ActiveH SQL based housing system eliminates rekeying and error-prone human intervention. Systems Analyst, Sharon Tatton commented “The project went very smoothly and was completed to tight deadlines. It was good to see the website go live and watch the first applicants using the system. The tightly integrated approach has made this process much smoother and more efficient for our customers”.
