During the interview to be published later in the January edition, Simon questioned how MIS-AMS and ActiveH has quietly become 'Housings Best Kept Secret'. The ActiveH housing suite has indeed become an enigma with 30 very happy customers managing right up to 30,000 properties, but sometimes little known outside that loyal customer base.
Good consultants ask probing questions and Simon was pleasingly no exception. Read for yourself why MIS-AMS has been the only housing management system supplier to bite the bullet, totally re-engineer its software solution for the 21st century, meeting all current needs and uniquely agile for the future, rather than patch up and make customers do with old technology or suffer when their modern business needs fall outside the scope of their current software or suppliers expectations.
Simon was particularly interested in why our customers seem to be so satisfied in comparison to those of some much larger suppliers and if the high regard that we are held in the eyes of some consultants is justified. Technology and ticking boxes on tenders is only half the story without true customer involvement at all levels, which is something unique about MIS in the marketplace. Rather than hosting a large sales force, MIS have obviously quietly concentrated on housing, from staff having CIH involvement, to really being interested in RSL issues and getting all aspects of delivery right. Two annual, free, feature packed upgrades and a rich future development roadmap is also obviously keeping RSLs on ActiveH happy. Simon admitted that he was also aware of individual IT managers within larger merger groups, on other systems who had recognised such a different and refreshing approach in the way MIS work. It is no surprise that so many of the larger MIS customers are extending their commitments to the ActiveH solution range by implementing these Housing products as part of their expansion plans throughout their connected organisations.
Tony Smith stressed his commitment to the tenants and RSL customers, "They are our real customers. Delivering efficient, value packed systems and RSL processes that can react to diverse and challenging needs, mean the difference between decent homes & decent communities for so many in our society. When we help to get that right, we help to improve where we all live, that is what everyone at MIS sets out to do. Many of our clients have commented on it, our aim is to make every customer feel that they are our only customer. For everyone in my team, I am proud to say that is business as usual, its just what we do."
