I have to say that during the ActiveH implementation MIS more often than not went the extra mile. Tony Smith (MIS-AMS MD) and his team took great pride in helping us get the most from the new system and providing the best for us.

Warwick District Council make the move to SQL   (15/10/2007)

Warwick District Council (WDC) are the latest customer to move to the most modern & fastest SQL Server based housing system available.

This midlands based authority, providing services in Warwick, Leamington Spa and Kenilworth now benefit from a Response Repairs solution that links seamlessly & directly with the councils central Northgate CRM system. Integration with Rent Accounting functions that are also part of the SQL Server implementation completes the picture.

All housing staff now have seamless access to automate letter generation into Word, export information into Excel, email directly and have the opportunity to present any data graphically in GIS or Mappoint to identify clusters of repairs, high arrears or anti-social behaviour cases as needed. This truly connects the HMS with everything else on the users desktop, in a way no other system does. Workflow, which is engineered into the heart of every ActiveH module will also allow tasking to effectively communicate and trace actions sent to and completed by colleagues. The tasking list or task tray is the ideal tool to deliver consistant service and monitor adherance to internal targets and procedures.

Cutting edge repairs performance is made even smoother by the use of diagnostic scripting from MIS partner OMFAX. Warwick admin staff are guided to order the correct repairs first time and allocate a suggested appointment at initial contact with the customer. Improvement in tenant satisfaction and reduced costs will be the easily measurable benefits to be seen in the next few months. It is expected that these efficiency benefits will allow fast return on investment (ROI) for the authority, providing best value and contributing to three star performance.

David Adcock, ICT Services business analyst was glowing in praise for how the project was managed, executed and completed. Making a special point at the recent MIS Active Management Systems user conference to express his thanks directly to Tony Smith, to who he described the project as "Outstanding". David Evans, lead implementer and the implementation manager Andy Bannaghan were also complemented. "It could be seen that throughout it was a team effort, with a large support structure behind the implementation that was always there when needed. It is an outstanding contrast with implementations we have experienced in the past"

Web access is critical for all of WDC's core systems and the ActiveH applications are no exception. Tenants have access to rent information in the ActiveH SQL Rent Accounting system, current real-time arrear balance and recent transactions 24/7 via the councils website.

Applicants can also register and participate in '"Warwick HomeChoice" using the ActiveH web facility, connecting prospective tenants with ActiveH Lettings.

Response Repairs on SQL ActiveH is also accessible by all external contractors via the internet too. This will enable performance statistics to be available within hours of works order completion rather than waiting weeks or months for arrival of a supplier invoice, to confirm order completion dates and late reasons.

Finance integration has been made to WDC's internal finance system using one of the ActiveH flexible finance interface links. Any finance package can effectively be linked to the system modules, providing ultimate flexibility, whatever ledger solution is in use.
