Accord Housing go SQL   (04/10/2007)

The Accord Group based in the West Midlands have now successfully migrated to CRM and Response Repairs on the SQL Server Database platform.Accord are an expanding group managing over 7,000 units and constantly developing in the region. Area offices in central Birmingham and Darlaston in the Black Country will all now benefit from the new modules. Citrix is utilised to ensure fast response times and convenient access from offices and schemes. The migration was carried out mid-week with minimal downtime and disruption to staff or tenants.Training used a 'train the trainer' approach, using Accords in-house trainer Jane Finney. The lead IT Stakeholder in the project, Coleen Whitehall, was glowing in her praise for Andy Durack her key implementer. "We couldn't have done it without him, [Andy was] very patient and exceptionally helpful"

The project included finance links from the modules with Cedar Open Accounts which is accords preferred financial ledger.

Accord are a part of the Matrix Housing Partnership and Accord provides a wide range of housing and other services to over 35,000 people within the West Midlands region and employs almost 600 local people from a wide variety of backgrounds. The HA has 40 years experience in the social housing sector, 6400 homes in management and under development and 8000 planned by 2009. The Accord Group has an annual turnover of £28 million at March 2005 which is projected to increase to £37 million by 2010.
