Calico go live with Contractors, CRM & Repairs   (25/06/2007)

Calico Housing in Burnley, Lancs is the latest LSVT customer to implement the ActiveH Contractors system with the integrated feeder modules of CRM and Response repairs to enable customer appointments to be booked on initial contact. Depot operatives will be using PDA's to receive and complete jobs.

The conversion to the new system occurred over the weekend and went completely as planned. The system was ready for testing and checking to commence by 7am Saturday morning. Users were entering new calls and orders onto the system early Monday morning with no disruption to tenant service.

Integrated workflow that comes as standard within CRM and all of the MIS-AMS ActiveH products will also play an essential part in managing repairs, tenants, applicants and other contacts.

Dave Evans was the implementor for the three month Calico Housing project. Steve Elliot, IT Manager was very impressed with how well the conversion was carried out.

"Our MIS implementor was there assisting every step of the way. A decision was made to clean up data prior to conversion. Two years of job history was carried forward to ensure we started with a reliable foundation. The advantages that the flexible, ready to use out of the box inbuilt workflow provides us will enable efficiency gains to be realised quickly, improving the consistancy of our service to tenants. The new modules will enable us to realise efficiencies within the contractor workforce and control of operative and costs."

Admin and Repairs management staff, including internal DLO manager Lesley Tinall commented that the integrated planner was a major improvement on the previous system in use. Also, the move to the open SQL Server database had vastly improved speed of access and that this was most noticeable when entering new works orders.
