MIS AMS hires three new team members

The number one housing management system software supplier in the UK has hired three members of staff bolstered by a record year of client wins. 

Howard Jones joins the team as new business consultant, bringing over 20 years of experience in Housing IT and new business. 

Howard has not only established vast experience of IT from his former role as Director of IT for Plus Dane Housing, but also in his own consultancy firm more recently, and will now work within MIS AMS’ ever-growing new business team.

He said: “I missed working as part of a team and missed the social housing sector and saw this role at MIS as an ideal opportunity to combine my many years’ experience in Housing IT with the new business experience I gained in the commercial sector as a consultant.

Chris Chalmers has been hired as a support technician and brings an array of experience within the software production, support and infrastructure industry.

Chris chatted about why he wanted to work for the company, “MIS are actively involved in making a positive difference and enabling people through software.  There is a buzz and focus around quality, end user experience and helping customers at all levels.  I enjoy the hands-on involvement with problem solving and working as a team to make that difference.”

Jake Walker joins as a junior support developer evolving his career as an apprentice. Jake wanted to expand on his skills to date and progress his career within a professional software company. 

He said: “I have been working alongside my fantastic colleagues understanding and making our way through the support calls the team receives in. I have hit the ground running and already feel like I am in good hands here in the MIS AMS customer service department.”

MIS AMS embarks on another financial year having just celebrated a record one in 2018 with seven new client wins, including Reside, Moat, Bristol Charities and Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd. 

Managing Director of MIS AMS, Chris McLaughlin, said: “This past year has been fantastic and has brought with it many challenges and rewarding successes.”

Based in Northwich, Cheshire, the company now employs 60 permanent staff.
