Golf tournament fun for MIS AMS team

Members of the MIS AMS team have donned their golf attire and hit the fairway this month to showcase their skills (or lack of them!) by taking part in the WM Housing Group golf day in support of Hereford’s Supported Housing for Young People Project (SHYPP).

The team led by MD Chris McLaughlin, hit the green to take part in the annual event that raises much needed funds for SHYPP which provides 16 – 25-year olds across Herefordshire with housing, training and employment opportunities.

Chris, who is always keen to support charities and get out in the fresh air and make use of his clubs said: “We were delighted to attend this event and help raise more vital funds for this great cause. I can’t say as a team we played the best round, but we had a great time taking part.

“I hope the event helps the charity hit their target again this year. We had lots of fun across the busy day and contending against some familiar faces saw our competitive side come out – even though we didn’t take home any of the prizes which included beating the pro, nearest to the pin and the longest drive.”

All money raised will go towards the number of projects SHYPP has planned across the year. Their aim is to provide young people the opportunity to develop independent living skills, identify their talents and help them lead happy and successful lives.
