MIS AMS establishes dedicated customer support team
Northwich-based software provider MIS AMS has announced the creation of a new customer support team to provide a dedicated central resource for diagnosing problems and delivering solutions to housing association clients. The team will be created from a combination of existing internal staff and new hires.
“The team will be created to provide greater focus on customer support with one central point through which customer calls can be directed and managed by a team leader who is 100% focussed on helping fix customers’ problems,” explains Jeanette Allerston, development director, MIS AMS.
“Previously the software development teams dealt with the calls that customers made to us regarding our housing management software, as they have the technical knowledge to answer them – but this meant that staff were split between software development and customer support.
“The new team will ensure that our customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently by people who are dedicated to helping them and have the skills to do so.”
Each team leader will be taking a six-month rotation to head up the new team.It will initially operate under the leadership of Steve Moss who has over 15 years experience as a senior developer and team leader on the ActiveH products, and was instrumental in the creation of this new team.
The wider team will comprise a front line customer support officer, senior software developers, a support analyst, technician and developer and a junior support developer – as well as three further software developers on rotation from the main development team for six months at a time.
New hires include Matthew Keelagher a support technician and Joe Aspinal a developer. Each joins with experience in various fields including Housing Management Systems and the technologies that ActiveH is written in.
An office reshuffle has meant that a new department has been created and the team can work efficiently together for the greater good of housing association customers.
